Meet Samantha Eastburn! She’s the owner and founder of SUP Pups. She grew up on the lakes of Arizona and actively participated in water sports since she was a young girl. While pursuing a Tourism Management Degree at Arizona State University, she adopted her rescue dog Jack.
After graduation, she knew that she wanted to move out to San Diego to live “the dream” and somehow turn her passions into doing something she loved for work. Getting a job at a watersports rental and tour company, she received her Flat-water Paddle Board Certification to teach. Taking her pup Jack out on the water, she instantly knew she wanted others to learn how to SUP with their dog! And with that, SUP Pups was born!
Located in San Diego, SUP Pups has been teaching dogs and their owners how to SUP since 2014, providing them with the ultimate adventure with their dog(s). SUP Pups is a one-of-a-kind Stand Up Paddle board lesson where they teach the basics, safety and technique of the sport while giving students the best tips and tricks to help their dog(s) fall in love too.
Thousands of lessons later, SUP Pups has emerged into such an amazing small business and community that Sam has built along the way. Not only do they provide private lessons, but also group lessons, community SUP socials, breed-specific paddles, holiday paddles and dog birthdays!
For SUP Pups that is what life is about, it’s about “Fetching the Sun” – going outside, grabbing life by the ears and being adventurous with your dog!
