Welcome to the Fetch The Sun Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) section of our website. Here, you will find answers to common questions about our products, shipping methods, dog sizing, and privacy & security.

  • What dog breeds can fit in your apparel?
    We make matching dog shirts, hoodies, and hats for all sizes of dogs from Chihuahuas to Golden Retrievers. Please check out our dog sizing information page for what size clothing would best fit your pup.
  • What measurements should I take for dog shirts?
    For dog shirts and hoodies, you should take three measurements: chest, neck, and back length. Please check out our dog measurement video for more information on how/where to take measurements. Chest Measurement (also known as girth): Starting the measuring tape on the back, measure along the side, behind the front legs, around the chest, and up to the other side until the end of the tape reaches the beginning. It's important that we always round up to the next highest inch. Neck Measurement: Slide back the collar so that it doesn’t interfere with the measuring tape. Start the tape at the top of the neck and gently go around the dog’s neck until the tape reaches back to the starting point. Back Measurement: Starting at the neck, extend the measuring tape straight down your pup’s back, along the center, and ending at the beginning of the tail. It’s important to note that Fetch the Sun Adventure Fetcher shirts are made to extend about halfway to three quarters of the way down the dog’s back. Although if it extends past this point, or a little before, it's ok. We don’t want to sacrifice a smaller chest, and, or neck size for a perfect fit along the back. Once you have your measurements, use the Fetch the Sun sizing chart located here to find the best fit. Again, if your dog is between sizes, we recommend going with the larger size.
  • What if I am having trouble finding the right size?
    Please use the dog sizing help form located at the bottom of the page in the Sizing Help section. If available, please provide the dog’s breed, approximate weight, gender, hair length, and any other information that you think will help us find the best fitting apparel for your pup.
  • What measurements should I take for dog hats?
    For dog hats, you should measure head width and neck size. Head Width: Using a straight ruler, measure the width on top of your pup’s head between the ears. Do not include the ears in your measurements. Neck Size: Slide back the collar so that it doesn’t interfere with the measuring tape. Measuring from directly behind the ears, start the tape at the top of the neck and gently go around the dog’s neck until the tape reaches back to the starting point. Once you have your measurements, use the hat sizing charts located here to find the best fit. Again, if your dog is between sizes, we recommend going with the larger size.
  • Do you offer free shipping?
    Yes, we offer free shipping eligibility on all orders being shipped within the United States. Please see bottom of our webpage by the "*" to see what shipping deals are currently being offered.
  • What if an item is out of stock?
    We add items to our site daily. If you want a size/color that is currently out of stock, click the "notify when available" button next to the item. You'll be the first to know when we restock.
  • How long after I order will I receive my Fetch the Sun apparel?
    3-8 days. We typically fulfill orders within 1-2 business days. Shipping normally takes anywhere between 2-6 days within the United States.
  • Do you provide tracking information with shipping?
    Yes. We typically ship orders via the United States Postal Service or UPS and each order will receive a tracking number. This tracking information will be sent to the customer as soon as their order has been packaged up. Look for an email in about 1-2 business days; please check your spam folder if you do not see this email in your inbox.
  • Where is my order?
    You can track order progress through the link delivered in your shipment confirmation email. Also, if you created an account with Fetch the Sun, you can login into your account on the top of the screen to view your orders and shipping status.
  • Can I purchase a gift card?
    Yes, gift cards can be purchased here and are delivered via email. Electronic gift cards will be delivered to the email inputted at checkout. Gift cards can only be used for online purchases at Fetch the Sun.
  • Do you offer international shipping?
    Looking to ship internationally? You're in luck! Our competitive shipping rates are available for orders outside of the United States. Just remember to check your local rules and regulations before placing your order, as each country's customs, tariffs, and duties are unique.
  • Can I cancel my order after it has been placed?
    Yes, you can cancel your order as long as it has not been shipped yet. Please refer to our store policy page for more information and contact us if you have any further questions.
  • Do you offer discounts?
    Yes, we do! We regularly send out promotions and discounts via email and social media, so make sure to subscribe to our Fetch The Sun newsletter for the latest offers.
  • Do you have a physical store?
    No, we are an online-only store and do not have a physical location. We do have a pop-up shop that operates at certain dog events in and around San Diego. Check out our pop-up shop schedule. We also offer free shipping on all orders being shipped within the United States and we offer easy returns & exchanges. So shop with confidence!
  • Are your women's sizes true to size?
    Yes, our women's shirts are listed in true-to-women's sizing and are boyfriend cut to run a little loose.
  • Are your men's shirts true to size?
    Yes, our men's shirts are listed in true-to-men's sizing and run a little loose for comfort.
  • What is your return policy?
    We gladly accept returns & exchanges. Please contact us with your order number within 14 days of delivery & ship items back within 30 days of delivery. Check out our store policy for more info on returns and exchanges.
  • How do I send my items back?
    Please send returns/exchanges to: Fetch the Sun 11833 Pickford Rd San Diego, CA 92131 United States For returns and exchanges, buyer is responsible for shipping the items back to Fetch the Sun. To protect the customer, return shipping should include tracking information. If exchanging, we offer free shipping on all replacement U.S. domestic shipments. International customers are responsible for outgoing shipping charges.
  • When can I expect my exchanged item(s)?
    Replacements will be shipped, or refunds will be issued immediately after the return is received. Typically, exchanged items are shipped via USPS or UPS Ground and a tracking number will be provided upon shipping.
  • Do you charge a restocking fee?
    No, we do not charge a restocking fee on unused merchandise. All items sent back must be unwashed with the original tags attached. Please remove excess dog hair from returned dog apparel items.
  • Do you extend your return window during the winter holiday?
    Yes, to accommodate gift giving, purchases made between November 12th and December 24th of every year are eligible for return through February 1st, of the following year. If you are unsure of the sizing for the person you are buying for, we also sell gift cards.
  • Is your site/payment system secure?
    Payments are processed through Wix payments which complies with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standards (PCI DSS). The PCI DSS is the highest information security standard for organizations or companies that accept credit card payments. This standard provides protection of the privacy and confidentiality of the card's data used to complete the online transaction. PCI Compliance helps to create a secure environment by improving the quality of the cardholder data in order to reduce the rate of credit card fraud cases. In addition, it ensures that the data for each payment is stored securely in a tamper-proof manner.
  • Do you sell your customer's personal information?
    Never. While we collect personal information to conduct business, we will never sell your personal information to third-parties. Please visit our privacy policy page for more information.
