Why Organic Cotton?
The use of organic cotton in our apparel is a critical component of our sustainability plan because it helps reduce the overall environmental impact created by traditional cotton production. Organic cotton farming practices are designed to conserve water, reduce soil erosion and degradation, and minimize the use of hazardous pesticides or other harmful chemicals.
Because organic cotton uses fewer resources than traditional cotton, it also helps to protect local ecosystems from pollution. Additionally, organic cotton crops tend to be more resilient in challenging environmental conditions such as drought or flooding—making them better suited for sustainable agriculture. Organic cotton is a safer choice for consumers as it eliminates potential exposure to toxic chemicals and synthetic fertilizers. By opting for organic cotton over conventional varieties, we can help support a more sustainable future for everyone.
Why Recycled Polyester?
Recycled plastics/polys are an important part of creating a more sustainable future. Using recycled plastics reduces the amount of new plastic that needs to be produced, helping reduce emissions from the manufacturing process and limiting the strain on our natural resources. In addition, recycled plastic products use less energy in their production than those made from fresh materials, resulting in lower greenhouse gas emissions and air pollution overall. Using recycled plastics can help divert waste away from landfills, providing a much-needed end-use for items that could otherwise end up as trash.
By making more conscious choices about what kinds of products we buy, we can help support sustainable production methods while helping protect the environment. Recycling plastic is one small step we can take towards creating a better, more sustainable planet.
