The History of Fetch the Sun

A family and their dogs at the beach wearing matching dog and owner shirts

Steve and Jennifer founded Fetch the Sun in early 2019. The two dog lovers and avid outdoor enthusiasts wanted to share their love of dogs and adventure with the world through high quality, fashionable apparel.

The Making Of Our Logo

Developing our logo was an exciting process! We wanted it to capture the vibrancy of being a lifestyle brand for dogs and their pet-loving humans who love having adventures together. Our Fetch The Sun logo has become a beacon of adventure for all four-legged explorers around the world! From beach swims and ocean surfs to mountain trails, its iconic blue, yellow and green colors have become a universal symbol of doggy adventure.

Original No Ruff Waves designs from 2019

No Ruff Waves 1.0

Introduced in 2019, the No Ruff Waves surfing dog line was our very first design and a nod to all those radical surf dogs out there – including our very-own surf pup Snoopy. We couldn't find any shirts showing our love of surfing and dogs, so we made our own! This design was retired in 2022 when we released our 2.0 design.

Tails on the Trails for men’s, women’s, kids’, and dog shirts

Tails on the Trails 1.0

Also introduced in 2019, the Tails on the Trails hiking line was our second released design and it captured our favorite activity with our dogs. This design was retired in 2022 when we released our 2.0 design.

Original running design from early 2020

Running 1.0

The very first dog event we participated in was the Rad Dogs Mud Run. We knew we wanted to make a running shirt and this event spurred that idea into a reality. We had some slight supply chain disruptions in early 2020 due to something called COVID, but we were able to get the shirts just in time for the event. While this line has since been discontinued, we introduced our new running design that was released in Summer of 2023.

Bring Out The Inner Wolf 1.0

When the pandemic hit, Jennifer, Steve, the kids and their pups Snoopy and Lucy decided to turn it into a real adventure by camping more often. Just when they thought their fun couldn't get any better, on one trip to San Onofre an idea sparked - why not make an awesome camp shirt? And if that wasn't exciting enough already, we're in the middle of updating all our camping styles, so we’ll have some fresh new designs coming your way soon!
